Face to Face Counselling

Choosing to start counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s important to know what to expect. Face-to-face counselling simply means meeting in person with one of our counsellors in a safe, private room where you can talk openly and confidentially.

Our counselling room is designed to feel calm, comfortable, and welcoming, so you can relax and focus on what really matters — you. Sitting down together allows for a natural, personal connection, and many people find it easier to build trust and feel supported when speaking face-to-face.

In each session, your counsellor will listen with empathy and without judgement. You’ll have the time and space to share whatever’s on your mind, whether that’s managing stress, coping with anxiety, working through relationship difficulties, or simply wanting to better understand yourself. Together, we’ll explore what’s going on for you and gently find ways forward at a pace that feels right.

Face-to-face counselling can be especially helpful if you:

  • Prefer the personal connection of being in the same room as your counsellor.

  • Appreciate the structure of attending regular in-person sessions.

  • Value a private, dedicated space where you can feel at ease.

Above all, our aim is to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel truly heard. If you’re considering counselling, face-to-face sessions can be a reassuring and meaningful way to begin your journey towards greater wellbeing.

Remote Counselling via Zoom

We understand that coming to in-person sessions isn’t always possible — whether because of distance, health, personal preference, or simply a busy schedule. That’s why we offer remote counselling through Zoom, giving you access to the same professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own home.

Remote counselling works much like face-to-face sessions. You’ll meet with your counsellor at a scheduled time via secure video call, where you can talk through your thoughts, feelings, and challenges in a safe, confidential space. Many clients find this just as effective as in-person counselling, and some even prefer the flexibility and convenience it offers.

In your sessions, your counsellor will listen with empathy and understanding, helping you explore what’s going on for you and supporting you to make positive changes at your own pace. All you need is a quiet space and a stable internet connection — we’ll guide you through the rest.

Remote counselling may be a good option if you:

  • Can’t easily attend sessions in person.

  • Prefer the comfort of talking from home.

  • Want more flexibility in fitting counselling around your daily life.

To make counselling more accessible, we also offer subsidised or reduced-rate sessions over Zoom for clients on low incomes or receiving benefits. If you can provide proof of eligibility, we’ll be glad to discuss these options with you.

Our goal is to make counselling available and approachable for anyone who needs it

Telephone Counselling

If you find it difficult to attend sessions in person, or if video calls aren’t for you, telephone counselling can be a simple and effective way to access support. It allows you to speak directly with a qualified counsellor at a scheduled time, wherever you feel most comfortable and private.

Telephone counselling works much like face-to-face or Zoom sessions. You’ll have dedicated time to talk through your thoughts, feelings, and challenges with a counsellor who will listen with empathy and without judgement. Together, you’ll explore what’s going on for you and look at ways to move forward at your own pace.

Many clients value the flexibility and convenience of telephone sessions. Without the need to travel or be on camera, you may find it easier to focus purely on the conversation. For some people, speaking over the phone feels less intimidating and helps them open up more freely.

Telephone counselling may be a good option if you:

  • Prefer not to use video calls.

  • Want the freedom to talk from a comfortable, private space at home.

  • Need a more flexible way to access support when face-to-face or Zoom isn’t possible.

Our aim is to provide a safe, confidential, and understanding space — whether that’s in person, online, or over the phone — so you can choose the option that feels right for you.

Which Counselling is right for me?

Both face-to-face and remote counselling offer a safe, supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings with a qualified counsellor. The main difference is simply how we meet — in person or online.

  • Face-to-Face Counselling takes place in our private, comfortable counselling room. Many people value the personal connection of sitting in the same space as their counsellor and appreciate having a dedicated, calming environment away from daily life.

  • Zoom Counselling offers the same level of professional care but with the flexibility to connect from home. This can be particularly helpful if travel, health, or time make it difficult to attend in person. All you need is a quiet, private space and an internet connection.

Some people prefer the personal touch of face-to-face sessions, while others find the convenience of online counselling fits better with their lifestyle. Both options are equally effective — it’s about choosing the approach that makes you feel most comfortable and supported.

To make counselling more accessible, we also provide reduced-rate Zoom sessions for clients on low incomes or receiving benefits (with proof of eligibility).

Whichever option you choose, our aim is the same: to offer a safe, confidential, and understanding space where you can focus on your wellbeing.

Choosing the right counselling for you

We know that everyone’s circumstances and preferences are different, so we offer three ways to access counselling: face-to-face, Zoom, and telephone sessions. Each option provides the same level of professional support — it’s just a matter of finding the approach that feels most comfortable for you.

No matter which option you choose, you’ll receive the same level of empathy, confidentiality, and professional care. Our goal is to make counselling as accessible and supportive as possible, so you can focus on what matters most, your wellbeing.
